Good evening,

I have a 1989 Belmont I/O with a Ford 302. The engine is model # 502BPRMED. I am trying to replace the spark plug wires and I bought these (Sierra TG21050-1). I just got those today and they don’t seem to fit into the distributor cap. Can somebody please give me the correct spark plug set wires to buy?

Thank you [h=1][/h]

Sierra does call for their 18-8806-1 set for the 302 but we've tried these before and 2 of the wires are barely long enough so, as ALLDODGE pointed out, use the 18-8842-1. The extra length on those 2 wires work better. (that's the only diff in the sets)

Ok guys, I got the part you told me. It seems the boot that fits in the cap is too long as the male part inside the boot on the wire is too high up in the boot to make contact to the female part in the cap when (forcefully) pushed on. Should I cut the boot or just assume/hope they are making contact?

That's the spark plug end, what does the other end look like?

Yeah as alldodge pointed out , wrong end .

The other end should be 90 degrees with a circular metal prong on the inside that goes in the female distributor cap
