Hi all, new member here. I recently acquired a 92 Liberator 201 with the 351 Ford and King Cobra Cone Clutch drive. I have been trying to search all over the web and this forum to find gear oil options for the drive, but I haven't found any recent information. I assume there are probably multiple options available dino vs. synthetic, but I would like to hear what you guys have been using successfully.

I have been researching proper maintenance procedures, correct filling method and capacity. I believe I have a handle on this, but want use the right gear oil.

Thanks in advance.

I would use whatever they specified in their manuals, I know for the dog clutch models the listed OMC hi-vis gear oil but Merc High performance gear lube worked fine in them too. Cone clutch is different so use what they recommended.

I am still waiting on the manual, so I can't reference it just yet. I assumed after 30 years there might be some new gear oils that some of you guys might recommend vs. the OMC hi-vis. Thanks
