On my 1988 liberator bbf460 omc when I winterized it there was some mud in the exhaust manifold drain hoses, I used a custom tool that I forged and fabricated (coat hanger) to pick out what I could get to, but it makes think that there is more in the block?.? How can I flush this out??? Run the motor on the muffs???use a hose in the engine compartment??? All help welcome and appreciated.... is this a common issue....
ps. It never even remotely got hot last season runs 160* all the time.

your block and manifolds have sediment. its common. you can use the following to make a 1/4" diameter flushing hose wand that you can shove up thru the block drains and the manifold drains to flush out some debris, however you will pick it up again this year.

Oh will definitely pick up more sand and mud, and definitely need to get what’s in there out. I really appreciate the link. I could’ve shot off the cuff and sprayed water everywhere but this will work much better
