Turn the key and boat will start. Starter disengages from flywheel BUT bendix continues to spin. Any suggestions as where to start looking?

Welcome aboard.

Have you pulled the starter and cleaned it up or had it looked at?

I've got a decent shop close to home that's really good with electric motors and starters. When I run into troubles with 'em, one of the first things I do is take it in there. About $40 to check and clean.
