  • transom extension plate

I am looking for an extension plate for a transom on a tri toon boat. I am trying to put a long shaft motor ona boat that used to have a short shaft. I have been told not to use a jack plat because it will have too much leverage on the transom.I am looking for something to just raise the motor straight up.Any ideas where to start looking?

    Re: transom extension plate

I bought a manual jack plate from west marine to do just that (short transon/long shaft) it was $89 bucks it does have 4" of set back but that is minimal I would think.
