well i get 5 star yami from school
already joined amtech, looking into abyc corrosion
we learn honda,yami,volvo,suzi,merc,mercuriser

so probably will end up at a yami place because of the 5 star, but will work on i/o also

Re: Will cheap multimeter work with a DVA peak voltage adapter?

both are decent brands.
but as you progress in the school remember thay all work the same.
you will need to learn how to use oxy/acytylene or your sunk.
I dont have a lot of late model experience with honda or suzuki but in the past I was certified in both.
if ya wish start another post for starting techs.
or keep this one running.

The TA-100 smart tach is a handy tool and the KV meter with it will find a faulty ignition problem very quickly like Rodbolt says.

I've used one for about 5 years and its great. It does have probelms reading the 4-stroke 4-cyl. Yamaha/Merc engines, but works fine on Suzuki and other Yam 4-strokes.

ESI has a protable tach for just over $100 that works well also.
