montana man has the right idea, go with what feels right, and if you have warranty issues take names an numbers . I have used OMC products for 30+ years and have always had good luck with them. Had a 135 Evinrude for 18 years and all I ever did to it was tune ups and lower unit oil. I just bought my first Merc. so I can't really comment on them.
