I have a 1977 50 HPJohnson. It has the Command Control 1 lever control box . The boat came with it already having been rigged with the 400 type cables.. I have some 479 type cables around. Just for thought I wanted to see if they fit or could be used in this older control box. The 400 type cable is for 1977 and older the type 479 is for 1977 to present. The 400 can not be used in the newer box but the 479 seems like it would work on the older box. To confirm can the newer 479 cables be used in the newer boxes ?
