Hey all,
Recently I rebuilt my transom and added a stainless steel strip on the inside of the transom bay. (where the big motor screws attach around the transom)
However, today a friend of mine said this was mot a good idra as the stainless steel is too slippery. He said this would put a lot of stress on the screws at the bottom of the engine.
The engine is 55HP.
Would like to hear your opinions on this! Also, if it is indeed bad, could i add a wood layetd that is glued on the steel?
