I have an old Evinrude that I'm going to sell, I think it's a mid-50s 30HP motor but I'm hoping someone can confirm this? Also I have no idea of the value, it's seized so it's probably just for parts. I was thinking $100-150?

1956 was the only year for that version of a 30 HP. In the 60s, they reuse that Bore and Stroke/Displacement as a 28hp, but I was told the block was different.

Tell you what. Ship that motor and any accessories prepaid, to me in Canada, and I won't charge you penny to take it off your hands:D

I paid less than a 100 cnd.for a running Johnson of same year and about the same for a running 53 25hp Evinrude. So in U.S.dollars around 70 or so.

Had a 1954 model 25 HP Evinrude dropped off for fixing a modern motor.-----Electric start to boot.----These motors from the 1950's are not that valuable.

I collect outboard motors and restore them. By the pics yours appears to be in well-worn condition, plus its missing the tiller. If it turned over, it would be worth $100 to a collector (for parts), but since its seized it is worth more in scrap metal. If someone offers you 20 bucks, take it and run.
