Greetings,
I just bought a 1996 60hp Evinrude with electric tilt and trim. The data plate on the motor has a black smudge on it that I haven’t been able to wipe off. I can make out the following letters/numbers E60 _ _ ETD, where” _” is letters I can’t decipher. I’m trying to find the missing middle letters to order an Owner’s Manual for it. I know the first missing letter is supposed to be related to the tilt and trim option. If I can’t make out that first number is there some other way to determine the tilt and trim package the motor has? The second letter should be the shaft length, but I can’t read that number. Where do I measure to and from on the motor to determine the shaft length? Lastly, why are there 3 letters (ETD) in the last cluster that I think should say ED if it’s a 1996.
The Serial Number is G03322558 if that helps in any way.
Sorry for the long-winded question,
Bob
