I haven't seen white gas in 40 years. I run regular unleaded in my '53 Big Twin. 1 quart oil to 6 gal gas. (24:1)

Use regular gas and go boating. I have two 1940's Johnson 5HP motors (one was my Dad's purchased new) and it has seen nothing but regular fuel.

See number 2! unleaded gas was around long before leaded. The main reason leaded came into being was due to the advent of higher compression motors and the ease of raising octane with leaded gas .Some point to the 1930,s and the dodge redhead motor as the start of higher compression motors .https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_gas
