Quick search I did with that serial number comes up with this:
MARINER 1995 150MG3 7150454DD 135/150/175/200/XR6/MAGNUM III

Does that help?

OH, And :welcome:

I have found one of these motors in pristine condition fresh water approx. 150-200 hour usage. Motor runs and sounds great. thinking of putting it on my McKee craft 16. Question how durable are these motors. Any advice

Yeah...
I have Johnson engines and can't speak to Merc's..

I'll ask GA_Boater here to maybe move this to the Mercury section..
I'll bet you get all the info you'll need in there once this has better exposure..

Hope it helps!! :D

I have a 95' 115HP Mariner and a 95' 15HP Mariner, both 2 strokes. They both purr like kittens. I have had them 9 years and the previous owner was a salesman at the Marine dealership. The only thing he did other than maintenance was replace a bad stator on the 115. They better run well after I said they purr. Hope I didn't put the kybosh on them.

That is an excellent motor. Run 50-1 premix in it until you verify the oil injection is working.
