Forgot to add that if with visible water splashes towards transom without flooding deck whie OB sits fully raised on jack plate, OB sits too high, there's 3 issues going on : transom is too short, OB is a XL size or a combination of short trannsom/XL-OB.

Poster PM'd me and gave him some ideas.......he has run it WOT now.

Is it possible just for the record to post what was done to solve or at least remedy that huge water floding going on at back transom for OP to run his engine wot along combo on perfect plane and boating happily...

Twas none of the suggestions posted as the motor was a 20" correct length, transom is correct, has a 10" jack plate. When boat starts to plane the jack plate scoops water. Told poster to install some sort of block off on bottom of plate as this is common problem with extended plates. Go to the link below and get some new insite on set ups....
