any idea why they include that foam gasket? I installed it but at the same time, can't really see a good reason for it!

NFC....... not all come with a foam gasket, and if your trying to seal the flywheel housing, the sheet metal cover has a drain hole on the bottom....

Ha ha Lou C , I just asked you this same question on another thead as I just got a PMGR starter for my swap.

I had called the tech line at ARCO asking if you should fab up a front mount for these starters (he said not necessary) I should have asked about the foam gasket, lol.
