Hey all... Names jef. Been a lurker around here for awhile.... ... Saying hello.... I have an interesting issue. The boat will only run with the button in The start position. With the starter still engaged. Here's the thing. With the button In the run position, I have power at the switch and I have power at the coil. I don't know where to start. I guess it's a problem between the coil and distributor???? It's a sea ray sedan Bridge, 1981 310. It has twin 330s (454s). The setup is a key switch on the breaker panel to power the start button on the dash panel..... Any ideas?

Your motor has a feed to the coil from the starter "i" terminal to power the coil during cranking (purple and yellow wire) and a feed from the ignition switch (purple wire, most likely a balast resistor wire) in the run position

Make sure you have power in the run position
