Picked up a 1968 110 on Craigslist. Thing runs great at all throttle settings EXCEPT, it will kill after 30-60 seconds if I dont pump the bulb regularly (today about once ever 10-15 seconds).

Fuel pump or gas tank/line problems?

Thank you in advance for any help!

If it keeps running while you are squeezing the fuel bulb, you are acting as the fuel pump. Probably time for a fuel pump kit.

You haven't provided your engine s/n but if you are sure it is a 1968, here is the parts list for a 1968 110 (model 1110108):

MERC 110 - Mercury, Mercruiser, Force, etc. Parts Lookup

See kit item 9, under FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY and if you do not require the complete kit, just get the diaphram and check valve kit.

Here is a link to the condensed version of the Clymer service manual. Download it soonest to your computer as the link is short lived.
