I am having problems with my Mercury outboard 115 4 stroke efi. She runs fine but looses fuel and I have to keep the primer bulb pumped to run. My question is can I run a small gas tank straight to the fuel pump and bypass the water seperator/ filter to see if that solves my problem?

Yes you can but I think you will wind up rebuilding the fuel pump.

Thanks for the reply. What is needed to rebuild the fuel pump? According to the diagram the only thing I would think needing replaced would be the diaphram I think it is #8 correct? Also is there somewhere I can get that at a good price? When I removed the top line on the fuel pump it wasnt spitting much fuel out at all so that is what I think the problem is too.
