Hello All, I have a 1995 60 HP Mercury Tracker outboard that very often hesitates/bogs down/ won't take the gas when trying to go to Wide Open Throttle. It cranks great and will idle all day long with no problems. Also, the problem seems to be intermittent with it occuring more after it has run at WOT for a while. Fresh gas with new gas line. Any ideas or suggestions. Thanks

Rebuild the fuel pump if you haven't as Ethanol plays hell with the diaphrams....if it makes WOT could be a stator heating up..check for quality of spark...does your bulb stay "hard" or is there an air leak? Electrical issues have to be carefully checked out as your type of problem if not fuel related will take some time and testing to see what part is breaking down...Switch box, and stator are common problems with Merc outboards however they get expensive to buy and not be the problem...good luck...

Check all your fuel lines as mentioned. Rebuild the fuel pump with a kit from Mercury. They have re-designed the check valves.
