  • Possible to shorten teleflex shift & throttle cables?

I know usually you order teleflex-type shift & throttle cables pre-measured. I have a set that I want to transfer from one boat to another. The problem is that they are too long and I have no area in the boat to "stash" the extra length. Is it possible to cut these cables myself to the length that I need? If so, how?

Cables are relatively cheap. Get a new set of the correct length...
