Hi, can anyone help me. I have a 1998 mercury 175EFI and i have had some recent trouble. It starts fine when cold but after running for a while it will not start hot. it turns and wants to catch so i know its not the starter. Any help please

Is it using more fuel than normal and smoking more than normal when warm? If the temp sensor is toast it could be over fueling causing it to flood @ start. Just a thought. Good luck.
