Hi,

I swear I already posted this but I can't find it now. I tried searching and everything.

Anyways, I have a 1998 mercury 15HP 2-stroke and I'm wondering how easy it is to replace the impeller? I've read in a few places that it should be done fairly regularly and I'd be surprised if it's ever been done on this motor. I'm also a little concerned because the water stream that comes out of the back is not always very strong.

Can anyone point me to a write up on how this is done for a similar merc engine or offer any other tips or pointers?

Thanks!

petroleum jelly on the impeller will make installing into its houseing alot easier.

Thanks, but I don't even know what I need to take apart to get at it. On other forums people post step by step instructions with photos and stuff to go along with it. I take it no one does that here?
