  • classic 50 water pump replacement

I have a 1987 Classic 50 45hp and I killed the water pump so I need to replace it. I need a diagram to ensure i do it correctly and any advice to make the job easier. Also is one brand better than another? Thanks

Factory service manuals can be had on ebay for the older motors like yours for under 30 bucks delivered. Really a bargain for the wealth of information they contain. I buy only Mercury (Quicksilver) impellers for my motors.
