  • 1977 Mercury Outboard 150HP Wiring Questions

Hello all. I'm Mike. I just got an old 73 Wellcraft 16Ft. The engine is a 77 Mercury 1500 150 hp. The thing is it had been sitting in the previous owners yard for 5 years. All the wiring on the engine it's self needs to be changed. My question is this; can I just cut new wiring using normal wire or do I had to buy the wiring from Mercury or something.
