Looking for information on my Mariner

Hi Guys,
just purchased my first engine, a 4hp Mariner which I believe is from the 80's. I was told it is a 4 stroke but Im not so sure thats correct, as he also recommended that I pre mix oil and gas. The tag reads 4m 6EO S 122891. Would anyone be able to tell me about the engine? Thanks in advance.

Its a Yamaha built Mariner late 70s to the mid 80s. Gas mix is 50-1 because it is a 2 strk. Any Mercury dealer will be able to help you with parts

When you contact a Dealer for Parts, have the Serial/Model #s handy.
