Hello, I am working on a new to me 1975 Mercury 1150 115 hp. The hydraulic cylinder on tilt and trim are really corroded, can the bottom parts be replaced or do I have to get new/used cylinders?

I believe the PTT cylinder rod is one piece. The good news is that the are pretty tough and some rust is fine. See how bad the rust is, and go from there.

You might check the rod that the bottom of the cylinder is on. That is replaceable, but a real PIA since it is captured within the triple clamp.

Agreed-----Some will argue.-----There my be many other issues on that motor.----It needs a full evaluation .----Compression test .----Ignition test .----New impeller.---- Before worrying about cosmetics and paint.
