Mercury 150 black max trim and tilt

I have a Mercury 150 black max and the trim and tilt does not seem to be working correctly. In order to raise the motor you have to pick the motor up by hand a ways and then it will work for a little ways not very long and then you have to do it again. It will not go down at all with the motor but it will slowly let it self down on its own. I can not seem to figure out how to check the fluid level. If anyone can give me some advice as to how to do this or what it could be I would really appreciate it. I also can not figure out how to lock the motor up after i get it up my evinrude on my other boat has little locks i flip down is there a lock on this one? Thank you

Mercury has been making 115s since 1970 through today in many variations. We need your motor serial number.

The serial number that I found is 6133200 hopefully that is the correct one

Sorry, I misread the HP as 115. Been locked in too long and forgot to cut eye holes in the briefs I pulled over my head as a mask. LOL

Mercury has been making 150HP motors since 1973. Looks like your motor is 1982. Makes it a V6.

What style Power trim do you have? Trim pump in the boat? Trim pump between the transom clamps?

Fill da pump in da boat.....screw with dipstick on top of pump body.
