1967 Mercury 500 Prop Shaft Swap

I just Purchased a 67 Mercury 500 50HP Outboard for my 66 Lonestar Delray. While going through the motor i noticed it has a 11 spline Prop shaft, and there are barely any 11 spline props on the market.

my question is can i replace the Prop shaft with a 13 spline shaft from a later Merc 500?

I don't know if a later prop shaft is compatible with your 11 spline gear case, but these folks are the only makers of new 11 spline props for Mercs and are nice to deal with and the prices aren't outrageous. http://www.propcopropellers.com/mercury.html
