I searched Google and these forums and can't find anything on an older Mercury 500, 50 hp. I got the numbers 3576628 off of the pivot under the motor.

I was wanting the year and advice on the best size propeller for for all around performance.

Any help would be appreciated.

It's on a 19' sd80 skeeter. Thanks for the replys so far. I recreational carp fish with it, so I generally carry alot of gear/ bait. I don't need holeshot or anything in particular. Just an inexpensive replacement propeller.(well more top end wouldn't hurt)

If the motor has an alternator you should get a tach that way you'll know if you are in the correct max rpm range (4800-5500). A motor can be damaged by too low rpms or high ones - I would set it up for 5500 max.
