New here and hoping to figure this dang thing out! To start, it's a 1978 2 stroke Mercury 402 40hp. I recently rebuilt the carb, new plugs and wires, new impeller, rebuilt water pump, fuel filter and new fuel line and primer bulb. After doing all this I took it out for a trip to catch some fishies! Got on the water and she ran great for about 20 minutes then stalled while idling. It would crank all day if the battery would let it but would not fire. Got home and looked it over and decided to replace the fuel pump. Still wont stay running! Runs for approx 5 mins and then stalls and has a hall of a time restarting! I don't even know what to look at now please help!
