Looking for details about my Mercury engine

Hi....new guy here. I was given a outboard Mercury motor. Outside of the word Mercury on the outside and a blurry serial number there are no markings on the engine. I am trying to find out what the hp is so I can get a parts manual. The serial number looks to be '0B150315'. In looking at Mercury's website it provides an alternate model number '7020207', and a 'Model Group' of 18/20/25 H.P.(XD). I was told the motor was from the late 80's.
So the question is what is the HP and which serial number should I use to order parts and manual..

welcome aboard.

most of the service parts are the same for the motor regardless if you have an 18, 20 or 25hp

you have a model and serial number, simply use the parts lookup to get parts. it will be more current than a printed manual

maxrules says it's a 1987 20HP or 25HP...definitely not 18 HP.
