Changing the rear motor mounts in my 79 Sea Ray SRV200 that I have been working on for going on 9 years now. I just wanted to make sure that the installation is done right. The new motor mounts have a brass colored ring with a flat on one side and concave on the other. It seems to me that the ring should be driven in first and go concave side down on top of the motor mount. Is this correct?

The old ones that I took out had one mount with a ring and one without. Go figure. I am trying to upload photos but keep getting file to large error messages.

flat side goes up, use a socket to seat it, put the rubber mount in the freezer, and when ready heat the alum rear mount and insert
the rubber mount and seat with socket
