Last year I had my 3.7 mercruiser overheat as there was not buzzer and no one noticed until steam came out. Result, stuck valve and broken pushrod this spring. Solution, rebuild head....$$$
Does anyone have a link or know of a simple, ideally not too expensive overheat buzzer system fit for these engines that I could add on?
Thanks

West Marine has a Cole Hersee engine warning system. I can't get a link to work for it however.

This looks fairly simple and inexpensive.

Yep, gonna get one of those...thanks

Ayuh,.... All ya need is a temp Switch, rather than a sender, 'n wire it to a buzzer, 'n/ or a lamp, insteada a gauge,....

Usually you can find a pipe plug somewhere near the temp sender to put the Switch into,...
Wire power to the buzzer/ lamp, then to the Switch,....

When the temp Switch closes, groundin' the circuit, yer buzzer/ lamp sounds/ lights,...

I would fix the temp gauge first and keep one on it all times instead of looking for steam
