1993 Crownline 225CCR w/7.4L/Bravo 1 (Steering Cable Replacement)

I have read how to size my steering cable, I'm just not sure which type I would need. Also, can some one direct me to a good set of directions for removing the cable from the the steering wheel and the power steering actuator as well?

depends on the helm unit. rack system=unbolt 4 bolts and remove rack. Saf-T system = unscrew cable end or use the hairpin clasp to unlock steering cable from helm unit.Google Teleflex steering controls

Ayuh,..... Replace both the helm, 'n cable, as a Kit,....

Helms wear out too,....

Pull the steerin' wheel off, 'n drop the helm,....
At the transom is a pin in the end, 'n the big nut on the other end of the aluminum tube, loosen it, 'n Pull,...
Feed the whole thing out to the helm area,...

Install opposite of removal,....
