My boat has been sitting for about 2 years now still winterized. I finally decided this year to put it in the water. So i went ahead an registered it.
It is also still shrink wrapped.
So I need some advice concerning the gas that has been sitting in there. Last time I took it out, I think it still had some old gas in it and this was plugging the fuel filter pretty bad when I would rev up the engine, it would mesitate ut at low rev it was fine. Looking at the fuel filter it wasn't dirty at all but the water clogged it good.
Steps:
- De-winterize boat
- Need to ciphon old gas out and put new gas
- Change fuel filter
- Run engine for a while to make sure that the line is clear of water
Any ideas how to ciphon the gas out. I think there is about 20 gallons left in there.
I should also bring it to a boat mechanic to get the engine test done. Anyone in the New Hampshire with a boat mechanic recommendation?
