Hello all,
I'm back with new and improved concerns, and I'm hoping for some your excellent advice and directions. I recently blew the exhaust shutter out on my Mercruiser 470. (due to my own stupidity) Anyway, I have removed the exhaust elbow but I cannot get the exhaust to bellow (the rubber adapter that increases the exhaust elbow from 3" to 4") to "separate" from the exhaust tube.
Questions:
1. Is there some magic trick to break free the rubber boot from the exhaust tube without ripping it?
2. I can not find the shutter part anywhere? I've searched multiple websites, searched the SELOC manual 3200, searched the Mercruiser service manual # 3 and I just can't seem to locate a part number or anything. Can anyone help me out?
3. Also, any pointers on how to swap the shutter out that's not covered in the SELOC manual would be greatly appreciated.
As always...thanks for your time and help,
