Mercruiser 4.3L - - Location of Engine Drain Plugs

My engine is a 4.3L Mercruiser



The Merc manual gives general picture of where the engine drain holes are.



Can anyone be more specific.

As for the block, they are beneath the spark plugs. As for the risers, I can't be sure on your engine. But if you get in there and look, I'm confident you'll see them. They are brass plugs.

There are total 5 drain plugs for this engine.

You can see one obviously in the front of engine on left bottom near the water pump fly wheel, (Blue plastic drain plug)

One on each side near engine mount, they are manifold drain plugs.

One on each side just below the manifold drain, they are engine block drain plugs.
