Need Part Number for an Oil Filter

I do not know what oil filter will fit my 5.7L 260 HP Mercruiser. I am looking to replace the filter with an automotive filter, due to the cost difference. Does anyone know a part number that I can take to Autozone? The 260 Merc is basically a Chevy 350, right? So if I get a filter for a 1986 Chevy Silverado 1500, it should fit shouldn't it?

FYI: I am not trying to get the "marine vs. auto parts" debate going again. I just need the part number to change my oil filter. Thanks again!

Is it a remote filter or on the block?

Yes - an automotive oil filter will work. Find one for an equivalent year Chevy 350. They basically come in short and long - make sure you have the room between your engine and stringer, otherwise use the short one.
