The problem is that the old engine's crank has studs and the new engine has a 1 piece oil seal. Can I buy bolts to replace the studs or do I have to take out the studs and use them in the new engine? Any suggestions?

You did have to get a new flywheel correct? Are you saying the crank had studs where the flywheel bolts to it? If so, you can just buy bolts and use to bolt the flywheel to the crank.

That is what I am doing now. The studs are hard too get out. The old 305 has the studs and is shaped different but on the new 350 it looks like they will work? I appreciate your help Bondo.
