Yea that confused me as well anyone know what casting should be on the motor? Unless whole motor was changed?

Check LanierMarine.com outside of Atlanta. They're a huge boat salvage yard--and a source for parts. Otherwise, EBayMotors.Com has about everything listed in their parts. If you'll go to BoatTraders.com, you may can spot other boat salvage yards.

Did you look at the web page?
Match the casting number from the block to the chart, you should find out what's in the hull.
Next, look at the chart, ANY heads compatible with the block will work.
The chart shows there are no marine cylinder heads listed.
The only thing different between a marine cylinder head , an a automotive cylinder head is where the head sits when it's in operation.

I'm just guessing, post number three sounds like a good alternative.

but true vortec heads start in '96 im worried about fitment issues and most places wont take these as a core for a vortec head..

I bought a set of vortec heads online. New castings, new everything. They don't want your castings. Google cylinder head. Place was out of alabama. Cost me $3oo apeice. The pricey peice is the marine manifold for TBI.
