Maxum 205HP - two speed propeller ?

My brother in law owns above mentioned boat, a 1902 SR with only 30 hrs on it. Great boat.<br /><br />Though the 205 HP ( Mercruiser )gives it a wot Speed of 55 MPH, he would like it to get faster on plane, especially because it raises bow a lot, before planing speed. I heard of a 2 two-speed propeller. How do these things work, if good function, where can he buy it, and what does it cost ?

Yes, they do live up to their promises. Another good one is the Land N Sea--Aerostar.<br /><br />Yep, they're about $650.00. You have to decide if you want to put that kind of money down.
