On my merc 888 the Closed Cooling system includes the manifolds but not the risers. The risers are cooled by raw water.<br /><br />russ

Russ -- may actually be that way on my inboard too (raw water cools the risers but not the exhaust manifolds). Actually, I hope that's true for mine too because I run in salt water.<br /><br /> Curt (olboat1)
