  • Mercathode - Worth it?

I didn't even know a Mercathode systemem existed. Now I am intrigued. I looked up and it seems the Mercruisers come with them, except for the 4 cylinders, which I have. Worth installing one? My boat sits in a saltwater slip from April to November, but not connected to power at all. (But it can be)

Have you noticed any corrosion on the drive components?

Not that I have seen. I have to replace the regular Zinc Anodes once per season, but other than that. Nope

The system loves current and will suck life out of battery if you don't have charger hooked up. I disconnected mine. Caution: leaving a MC stored in salt water is asking for problems. Just my 2 cents...
