Mercruiser 5.7 MIE- really rough/dies just past idle

Had my carb rebuilt late last year and it seemed ok but this year my 5.7 stumbles bad just past idle and I have to move the throttle quickly past this spot so the engine doesn't die. It will idle ok at like 700rpm but as soon as I get to about 1200 rpm (when I put it in gear) it runs really rough. I believe the carb number is 3310-864943A01 which I think is a two-barrel 2GC Rochester. Ideas on how to fix? Think it's the carb or possibly something when it starts to go into gear that's making it cut out and sound rough?

I'm thinking the carb needs to be pulled again. That rpm is where the carb is transitioning from idle to main jets.

Look at the accelerator pump to see if your getting a full stream from start to finish

Yes, disconnect the throttle cable and then open it up slowly to see if you get a steady stream

Could also use to people and one open throttle (engine off) and other watch
