breakiing down a CI exhaust manifold

Hi, I need to verify that I don't have a blockage in the cast elbow that is threaded into the bottom of the manifold. I wonder what the chances are that the elbow will simply snap when I try to remove ? Not sure if the plug on top is worth trying to remove or do they basically freeze up also. Any thoughts would be really appreciated.
the specs are 1990 7.4 mag cast manifold thru hull exhaust

Heat around it with a torch before you try to remove it. Worst case drill and tap it out it's just a pipe tap.

are they the original 29 year old manifolds? if so, the elbow and manifold are now one.

Ayuh,..... Pull the hose off, 'n poke a piece of wire up the hole to check it,......
