I want to install a fwc system ,I have a ss heat exchanger and everything else is brand new, should I put in a thru-hull raw water supply ?It used to come thru the out drive,I also bought a 30 gpm 12 volt pump that I am thinking about installing on the fw side to supply the thermostat, because it is not going to be gravity fed,I also have a strainer for the raw water side to put in between the raw-water pump and the oil and power steering cooler,I bought some ceramic paint and I'm thinking about coating the three inch spacers inside and out, some input please

Stock heat exchangers are copper shell and tube with a single row of cupro-nickel tubes. Whos kit are you using? Is the motor brand new? If not, simply go boating and skip the heat exchanger

Thru hull is a nice upgrade, sea **** and strainer before the raw water pump. If the block was boiled out, scale free, go for it.
