I have three alternators. One is a Wilson # 1103197 which I think is a automotive one. It has two wires on a clip, a ground, and a batt post. The other is a Mercury marine# 12449 or J1171 .this has one wire with plug end, one small post, and one big post. Third one has no markings that I see but it has two wires and one big post. I am trying to wire one of these back on the motor but I am not sure on how to wire it. On the last one I have it going to wire # 4 and wire #6 and the big post as the ground. Hoping I have this hooked up right. Thanks in advance. Merry Christmas and Happy New year to all.

1st one does not look marine rated
second is a mando
third one is unknown without a pic
Most have an output post and a neg stud. If there are 2 small wires one is a "sense" lead with constant 12volts, the second is an "excite" wire connected to a switched 12 volts
