OK I am new. First big to me boat 27ft Carver Montego. Ive got the engines all taken care of. Now I am just doing some upgrades. My ? is about switches I am putting contura switches for the trim tabs and engine tilt. I think I have the tabs figured out, but I am wondering is there a reason why I would wont individual engine tilt switches? I have them and getting ready to try and figure out the wiring, but I can not find a diagram, and just started wondering why one would want them tilted different?
thanks

They will not raise/lower exactly at the same speed so they would not be in sync if there was just one switch.

also, you may have a dead motor and need to come in on one. then you would raise the dead one. you may have a bunch of people on board and need to compensate with tabs and trim

I have the same boat. Mine is an '87 with twin 180's

It's a great boat, lot's of room and somewhat economical on fuel for it's size.

What are you talking about with the "engine tilt" I don't understand..

Do you mean the drive tilt?
