I recently purchased a new 50 amp circuit breaker for my mercruiser 3.0. I’m rebuilding this engine and I’m new to this type of breaker. I took the breaker out of the box and I attempted to push the button in before I connected the wires. My understanding is that you are supposed to push the button in until it’s flush with the housing. This breaker however won’t budge when I press on the red button it moves but won’t push in. Am I doing this wrong is there some other way I’m supposed to push the button down?
