Yes, I do believe it will fit, and if it does not ebay will make the guy refund, because he post it will fit. If in doubt, send the seller a question

We were trying to get the timing right today and the solenoid started sticking again. Im done messing with it, cant have that happening on the lake!
After this, its timing and fuel and it should be GO time! Thanks for the excellent advice and info, always

Ayuh,.... Chevy starters only come in 2 basic flavors,....

Straight across bolt pattern for the 12" flywheel motors,....
'n the Staggered bolt pattern for motors with 14" flywheels,...

3.0ls to the biggest of the BBCs,....

so.......the bottom one is supposed to replace the top one. hmmmm

ok but how do you mount the back of it as its so much shorter?

Eezy, Peezy
Use the same bolts from the old starter and install the new one. Connect wires and go boating (so long as there are no other issues) :D

yeah its the back thats the problem. That black piece wont reach to the bolt by the fuel pump now
Guess ill have to fernangle something, just worried about the torque it has to take

The older style starters were so heavy they needed the rear support to keep it from twisting the bolts off. The new style do not need the rear support brace so your good without it
